SgT top management is presenting a collaborative webinar with the AAFA (American Apparel and Footwear Association) on ‘Fashion Supply Chain Vulnerabilities: Mitigate the Risks’

Topic: Fashion Supply Chain Vulnerabilities: Mitigate the Risks

Date and Time: September 17, 2020 – 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (ET)

While battling the fires of COVID-19, fashion businesses must also devise agile strategies that guarantee a more resilient and sustainable supply chain in this ‘new normal’. Country lockdowns and global production interruption have highlighted vulnerabilities in the supply chain that increase product safety and quality risks.

Among these ever-evolving challenges is the need to manage three key areas: suppliers, production areas and eco-friendlier materials, in which any lack of visibility can impact compliance, quality, and reputation. Travel restrictions amplify these risks.

At the same time, accelerating the pace towards a ‘greener and more responsible supply chain’ is key to aligning with consumer demand, global government objectives, stricter regulations, and NGO pressure.

In this webinar, SgT – the textile quality experts – will share three practices that helped US leading fashion brands and e-commerce players mitigate their supply chain risks in this ‘new-normal’ landscape.

Key Leanings:

  • The COVID-19 impact on the fashion supply chain–revealed or introduced vulnerabilities from raw materials to finished products–and associated compliance and quality risks.
  • Best practices that helped fashion leading brands regaining visibility and mitigating risks as they adapt their supply chains.
  • How to accelerate the pace towards a ‘greener supply chain’ with a focus on both product and process.
